Any specific learning:
Monday is Swimming day for our class. Please remember to send your child with a swimming kit every Monday. Remember, Girls must wear a full bodied swimsuit and Boys must wear a pair of fitted swimming trunks. Bikinis and boardshort type swim wear is not appropriate.
PE: Each child is required to have a change of clothing which consists of a white Tshirt and navy blue shorts or navy blue tracksuit bottoms. Also, it is important that each child has a pair of trainers or pumps to wear during PE, as soon our PE sessions will be taking place outdoors and children who do not have suitable footwear may not be able to take part in some games due to health and safety.
Ways you can help your child:
Things to do at home!
Homework is given out weekly. Spellings and times tables sheets can be kept at home to practice throughout the week, and the children will be tested every Friday.
Please read as much as you can with your child and sign their Yellow reading record.
Encourage your child to write as neatly as possible, as this half term we are looking for children who deserve pen licenses.
Practice spellings as much as possible to improve your child’s writing, reading and English work. You could also help them to learn their times tables but not in order. This can take place at any time during the day. Maybe over breakfast, on an evening, or whilst travelling to school!
Finally you could ask them questions about money and change when you go shopping or encourage problem solving in everyday life.
Any other useful information:
Every Friday celebration assembly at 9.00am – all welcome.
