Hi!
I would like to welcome you all to Year 1’s class page! I am going to be updating you with things that we have been up to in school along with sharing the children’s hard work.
Your teachers this year are:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – Miss Milner, Miss Holmes, Mrs Wilson.
Thursday – Miss Milner, Miss Holmes.
Friday – Mrs Dobson and Miss Holmes.
In geography we have enjoyed learning about our local area. We have looked at the different rooms in our school, we have looked at the different types of transport that people take in our local area and we have enjoyed walking around our local area. We all wrote some fantastic sentences about what we saw on our walk! Well done!

Today we visited St John’s Church. Thank you to Revd Tracey for showing us around.
In science we have been learning about the human body and our five senses.
In todays lesson we looked at our sense of taste.
The children enjoyed trying marshmallows, cheese, apricot, blueberries and salty crisps.
