Welcome to Year 4

This term, we will continue to develop prediction and comprehension skills.  We will be writing letters, instructions and doing lots of work around the story’s characters and setting. We will be spending time consolidating our word class knowledge, improving our handwriting and expanding our imaginations by writing a new chapter of our class novel.

In Maths, we are looking at addition and subtraction using the column method.  We will continue to look at how we can solve Maths problems in different ways using lots of resources and manipulatives to answer questions. There will be lots of opportunity to use Timestable Rockstars to improve our recall times.
