“This is a warm, friendly and welcoming school. The pupils are rightly proud of it. The staff are proud to work at it. The headteacher is proud to lead it.” (Ofsted October 2019)

Looking into the heart

Year 6 have experienced what a real-life heart is like. We made observations, looked closely at the different parts, touched and examined areas of the heart. The children had an incredible afternoon. A huge thank you to Mrs Grant.

Here is a sample of some of the amazing Art we have created so far. Can you recognise anyone?

Here are some of the images from our amazing residential earlier this month.

We have had a great final day despite our trip down the caves being cut short due to flooding. All the children are excited to return home. We will upload all of the photos taken by the end of the week.

Every single child took part in the pony trekking and the children loved it! Just a few photos from today’s adventures.

All children have had a wonderful day today.  They are currently all riding ponies at Kilnsey Trekking Centre and are having a great time.  Their behaviour has been excellent!

We went for a lovely walk yesterday evening. Everyone slept well and we are all ready for the day ahead.

We are having a fab time on our trip so far! Just a few of the many photos that have been taken today.

This week, Year 6 began their new Science topic by ‘making blood’ to help identify the components and understand their functions. We had a fantastic, messy lesson which the children thoroughly enjoyed. Here are some images from our lesson, including some of the fantastic writing that was completed afterwards.

A huge welcome to the new Year 6 class, who have worked extremelly hard so far this week. Me and Mrs Nicholson are excited to work with such fantastic children and can’t wait to see what this year brings.

This Monday is our residential trip to Halton Gill where we will get to know the children even better. I will update this page with all of our pictures as soon as possible.

We hope Year 6 have enjoyed these past few days as much as we have.

At Worth Valley Primary School, safeguarding is of paramount importance. We are committed to ensuring the welfare and safety of all our children and staff in school.
